Business use generally refers to driving a vehicle for work-related purposes that are not part of a commercial enterprise involving the vehicle itself. This includes activities such as traveling between different work sites, visiting clients, attending meetings or conferences, and other business-related travel that is outside of your regular commute.
Business use may be covered under temporary car insurance policies and is meant for occasional or short-term work driving. However, you should always check your level of cover to see whether business use will be covered under your specific policy.
Commercial use, on the other hand, involves using the vehicle as an integral part of a business operation, where the vehicle is used for commercial activities such as deliveries, courier services, carrying goods for hire or reward, or transporting passengers for payment (e.g., taxi drivers).
Please make sure when you take out a policy that you have the adequate level of cover but please be made aware that at Jaunt we do not offer coverage for commercial use.
